"Fleur Noire" is a
beautiful metal-leaf
background with black
Mardi Gras beads in the
shape of the symbol of
our city, the Fleur-de-Lis.
"Fleur Noire"
$100
Fleur-de-lis designs have
soared in popularity
since Katrina, but I've
collected them for years.
Here's another metal-leaf
design with gold Mardi
Gras beads.
"Gilded Lily"

"Fleur Cachee'" means
hidden flower in French.
This design of Mardi Gras
beads, pave'-style, hides the
gold Fleur-de-lis among the
other colors.

"Fleur Levant"
$140.00
With another nod to the French heritage of my city,
I have named this purse, Fleur Levant, meaning
Rising Flower. With time and perseverance, we will
rise for Katrina's devastation. This box has a
Fleur-de-lis of clear Mardi Gras beads accented
with gold-leaf background and a gold-leaf
Fleur-dd-lis on back.
"A Kiss Is Just A Kiss"
$100.00
This design is a combination of
decoupage and hand-painting. I
love Gustav Klimt's works. This
the second adaptation of his
work,"The Kiss" but each purse
is it's own creation. The first (at
right) sold in London. If you are
a Klimt fan, look back often for
more purses using his work.

Any Tiger Girl would be
happy to carry this bag to
the game! A pave' of beads
on the front, purple tiger
stripes along the edges,
and a plush animal print
interior make this cigar
purse one to cherish!
Geaux TIGERS!!
"Drinks on Me"
combines fabric
decoupage with the
Mardi Gras bead
embellishments,
that I intend to be
my signature.
Besides, Mardi
Gras and cocktails
go together like fish
and wahda, dahlin!

I have posted the photos in the hope of inspiring you
to think about a personally designed bag
The fleur-de-lis bag at
left makes use of the
original color on the
cigar box using clear
beads and silver-leaf.
The snake print interior
adds an unexpected
funk to a classy
exterior.
Each year, Bacchus
delights us with
hand-painted emblem
medallions that have
become collectors
items. The bag at right
pays homage to one of
my favorite parades,
the krewe of Bacchus,
and the wine god that
inspires them, not to
mention the vino that
occasionally inspires
me!
